Volunteer Tea: as listed in the June 12 Bulldog Bulletin and written by Principal Justin Fitzgerald.

June 9 was our annual Volunteer Tea.  The Volunteer Tea is a Bond Mill tradition in which we, the staff, say thank you to all of the extraordinary volunteers we have.  The accomplishments we make as a school are due in large part to the countless hours our volunteers dedicate to the school and students.  If you were able to attend, you heard me say thank you with my voice.  If you weren’t able to attend, I say thank you to you in written form.  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Carnival Thank You’s:   Linda Landau, Mary Lehman and their cast of hundreds worked tirelessly to create a sensational Carnival, raising more than $13,000 for the school.  Linda, Mary and I would like to issue special thanks to a number of individuals:

•    Anne Marie Hartranft, Christy Hyder, Stephanie Scepura, Gina Hendershot, Mary Kay Rosenberg, Joanne Olsufka, Michelle Kerr, Barb Zack, Linda Landau, Ellie Hartranft and Shari Watts, for putting together the Raffle Baskets
•    Kirk and Barb Zack for storing the donations and baskets in their home for several days
•    Mr. Claibourn, as this day could not occur without his support
•    Kristen Ruiz and the Carnival Poster Committee, for running the Carnival Poster Contest and advertising the carnival
•    Vee Rinker and her Carnival Ticket Committee, selling over $4,000 worth of tickets the week prior to the carnival
•    Carnival Donations Committee members Gina & Emmett Hendershot, Jen Hendershot, Kristen Ruiz, Brenda Bradley, Michelle Watson, Dennis & Rhonda Whitley, Christine & Jay Knisley, Erick & Evelyn Flores Bonilla, and Amanda & Brien Berard, whose efforts raised over $5,000 at our silent auction table

Another Super Huge Thank-you to Evelyn Williams for her participation in Verizon’s Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP).

Remember back in February when we thanked Ms. Williams for raising $750 for the school through her many hours of volunteering?   Well, she’s done it again, resulting in another $750 check for Bond Mill from the VIP program.  Way to go, Ms. Williams!

Thanks to the Hospitality Committee - as listed in the March 13 Bulldog Bulletin and written by Principal Justin Fitzgerald.

"The wonderful hospitality committee was at it again this week -- we had a terrific chili luncheon which we all enjoyed tremendously.  Thank you, dedicated and hard-working committee members!"

A Super Huge Thank-you to Evelyn Williams ...

...for her participation in Verizon's Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP).  Ms. Williams' many hours of volunteering inthe school has really paid off - she recently brought us a check for $740 from the VIP program, and that is only for the first quarter of hte school year!  Next time you see her, please thank the amazing Ms. Willams!

Another thank-you is long overdue to another wonderful parent - Karen Solomon.

In case you didn't know it, Ms. Solomon made all of the beautiful School volunteer badges that are hanging in the front office - both the ones with the pretty blue and red ribbons and the new ones that pin on.  So please pass on all the conpliments we hear in teh office to Ms. Solomon.  (If you find a volunteer badge at your house, please bring it back to us Smile.)

The Hospitality Committee would like to thak all of the families who provided food for the February 10th staff luncheon.  The staff look forward to this date each month.  The next luncehon is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10th.

Write a Book Committee- from Kristen Ruiz

I would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Jennifer and Rick Hinkle for all of the hard work chairing the Write a Book Committee.  All the books have been judged and congratulations to the students whose books are moving on to the County.  Also, congratulations to all the students who participated and complete a finished book.  It is huge accomplishment just to have a finished bound book.  It will be something that the students should be very proud of.

New Recess Equipment - as listed in the Bulldog Bulletin and written by Principal Justin Fitzgerald.

Thanks to the extremely generous contributions of the Kim family, we have a new piece of equipment to add to our Bond Mill playground.  The new climbing wall structure has been installed by the County and it will most definitely be instantly popular.  Again, thanks to Dr. Michael Kim and his entire family for bringing so much happiness to our recesses.
